Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Classes
Trauma survivors can often benefit from other approaches as an adjunct
to counseling, including art, dance and movement, exercise, meditation, yoga, and spending time in nature.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga Classes - private or group - are ideal for abuse and trauma survivors experiencing dissociation, PTSD symptoms, or a general sense of disconnection from the body.
Trauma can affect the body in many ways including somatic symptoms, numbness and disconnection from the body, and negative feeling towards one's body. Studies show that survivors of abuse and trauma are also often at an increased risk for physical illness.
