I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to be heard. Whether you’re navigating stress, relationship challenges, or big life changes, I listen first and work with you to find practical steps forward—together.
My approach is warm and compassionate. From individual therapy to parent sessions and family sessions, I make it easy to start, stay, and succeed on your mental-wellness journey. No judgment—just genuine support.
I specialize in providing a holistic and integrated approach to concerns such as abuse and trauma, adoption and foster care related concerns, anxiety, depression, chronic illness and pain, stress management, self-esteem, grief & loss, parenting, and relationship concerns.
I am trained in mindfulness-based approaches, somatic psychotherapy (Hakomi and Somatic Experiencing), Brainspotting, play therapy, yoga, energy psychology, sandtray and art, Safe Sound Protocol (SSP) and Rest & Restore Protocol (RRP) as well as traditional cognitive behavioral therapy (including dialectical behavior therapy and exposure therapy). I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults.
I continue to receive the latest training and skills. Presently, I am in the process of being trained in Healing Touch, an energy healing method.
On a personal note, I love spending time with friends and family, nature walks, animals in general (especially my dogs). I’ve been a foster parent for several years and have had the most meaningful experiences of my life through fostering.
Community Work
In addition to my private practice, I have provided services to the non-profit sector for the past three decades. Read more about my experience and work.
I co-coordinated Somatic Experiencing trainings in Georgia for 8 years. Somatic Experiencing is a body-oriented healing modality for the treatment of trauma and stress disorders. Somatic Experiencing can be helpful for the treatment of stress from accidents, invasive medical procedures, sexual or physical assault, emotional abuse, neglect, war, natural disasters, loss, birth trauma, and stress related to ongoing fear and conflict.
